Handbook > Introduction
This Officers' Guide has been produced by the Central Societies Committee (CSC) office so that the officers of Societies can have ready access to as much information as possible to make the running of a Society as smooth as possible. There are many challenges to making the working of a Society successful but very often some of the problems thatnewly-elected Officers encounter can very easily be solved if they have the correctinformation at their disposal. What we are trying to do here, is make that information available to you.
The information has been arranged in a first-things-first type of order: we tried to imagine what a person who had no idea about the running of a Society in College or about the CSC might ask themselves if elected and have answered the imagined questions as they crop up. We hope that this approach works, if you think that it does not, please tell us.
In order to improve communications between CSC and Societies and indeed amongst societies, we would like to get email addresses as early as possible for all Society Officers. If you have been elected and haven't yet done so, please mail lucy@csc.tcd.ie with your society and position on the Committee. If you have those details for the rest of your committee, they'd be appreciated too.
Virtually all of the society reportage is now done online. Each Society has a username and password to access its own file. Ask Lucy (lucy@csc.tcd.ie) or Emma (emma@csc.tcd.ie) if you don’t know it.
